A busy city crossing

Happy to share another cityscape painting from my "Cityscape" series. The strong presence of the sun light attracted me to paint this composition. The presence of green nature in the background is also another  attraction in this work.

Sharing another painting from my "Indian Village" series. Here I have painted a scene of Indian village scene of Himalayan Foothills in Jalpaiguri district ,West Bengal, India. The dramatic play of light is the added attraction in this composition along with the beautiful hill cottages situated beside the road.

Beautiful Indian village scene of a late afternoon in watercolour

Indian village scenes are always my  favourite subject tp paint. Here in this work I have painted a scene of a late afternoon. The village huts are surrounded by the green paddy fields. The farmers are very happy with their future products.Their family members are taking rest inside the village huts.

Sharing another painting from my "Indian Villages " series. Now I will share in my upcoming posts the  works I have made and will make in the year 2017 . Indian village scenes are always a continuous encouragement for me to paint ,draw and sketch. Here in this work I have portrayed an afternoon scene. People are taking rest just after the hard work in the agricultural fields. Some people  are chatting . Some are trying to finish the  unfinished household jobs.

Ratha Jatra Festival 2017 ........visited a beautiful fair ground ....

fair ground......very nice environment.....ideal for doing some fast sketches

a trawler is heading towards the confluence

Last year I visited Bakkhali  to do some outdoor sketching and painting. I crossed the river Hatania -Doania on a big barge . That was a wonderful experience . The barge was also carrying buses ,loaded trucks and passenger as well. The beauty of the nature there  made me speechless. The busy trawlers were heading towards the sea (Bay of Bengal) . Numerous trawlers,boats were loading and unloading goods and fresh catches. The shapes and the colours of the trawlers evoked me to paint. ...........sharing a painting from that series.
